We are called to become Christ's servants on earth. An easy way to start is by serving to help make our worship hours go smoothly.
Greeters
The men and women who serve as greeters assist our guest in entering the building and direct them to the appropriate area (such as Sunday School, Nursery, or the Welcome Center). These individuals are the first face of Friendswood UMC and are the congregation's hospitality ambassadors. Individuals that enjoy meeting and assisting new people are needed for this ministry.
Ushers
The men and women who serve as ushers assist our guest in finding a seat in the worship center, receiving a worship guide and directing individual families to specific areas on campus. Individuals that enjoy meeting and assisting newcomers to our facility and that demonstrate a welcoming attitude are needed for this vital ministry.
Ministry Center Hosts
The men and women who serve at the Welcome Center are vital to being a welcoming community of faith. These individuals answer questions regarding ministries of the church or activities that may be taking place on Sunday, and help direct these individuals to the appropriate area on campus. Individuals that enjoy meeting and assisting others are needed for this important ministry.
Welcome Bag Visitation
This "front porch" ministry provides first-time guests with a welcome bag filled with relevant information about the church along with a small gift for being our guest at one of our Sunday morning worship hours.
